@brandon @isolategab the founders of the instance are outspoken TERFs, and one of them runs an explicitly TERF organization. the only trans people they could allow on the server are types like Blaire White, i.e. the ones ready to throw other trans people under the bus

And if I see it, I'll surely report it, and speak to my admins about that person specifically. It's possible to silence individuals from Mastodon as well, from what I've seen in the admin dashboard

There are others who aren't even transphobic, just misguidedI'd rather be able to interact with those folk to help get them the hell outta there. @brandon @isolategab I can understand this partially. at least gab is entirely inexcusable, but as far as I see on spinster, it attracts some actually well-meaning types. I would still rather not federate with them whatsoever given that the admins are the exact "bad apples" of the instance, but at least I can say that judging by the userbase of people out there.
