Remember: Fedilab didnt do anything wrong and the dev has no ties to Gab. He doesnt even like Gab, he just thinks blocking at that layer is ineffective and does nothing for anyone. People keep doubling down that its nazi software and they are just waiting for normal, rational people to stop caring and making fun of them. Once that happens they will control the narrative and their rediculous allegations will become the history that is remembered

@dreadpirateTuckerYeah he says he did that because he assumed google play would kick him off. He removed it after either they answered him or ignored him I don't remember. Its still shame on him for acting before finding out. His position about how he thinks it doesn't help would have been a stronger case if he at no point blocked him.Most dumbasses point to how he made that revert as proof he supports Gab lmaoIf i were him I would just whitelist pleroma and mastodon and other fedi softwares as he builds support for them in his app (like peertube) over time and simply leave gab out. Even the Gab guy (not Torba, the other guy) told the fedilab guy to block them if its causing trouble

@dielanI've considered making forks of every fediverse app, period, and invert the state of whether or not they block Gab.Now every app blocks Gab, and every app doesn't block Gab. As the block is the *only* change made, any attempts at fingerprinting would be absolutely fruitless. Updates would be fast, potentially even automated.People will just have to learn to ignore things they don't like.

@r000tIf you are able, you should just make your own app, your own way and never block anything. Right now Tusky is the only android app that blocks gab and fedilab is the only app that gets harrassed for not doing it while all other apps walk freeThough to be fair, fedilab did make the block when the dev assumed google play was going to kick him if he didn't. Reverting the change is what made those people go rabid
