Hi @mastohost is it possible for y’all to block the spam email notifications we’re receiving today? Feels like I deleted 1000+ of them and they keep coming.

@mastohost Is the email notification code something y’all made on masto.host or part of the overall Mastodon project? I’d like to contribute ideas and code for some throttling / anti-DDOS features if possible.

@patrickmcurry the notification system is from the Mastodon project itself.You know you can turn off email notifications for your account, right?The spam needs to be dealt with by the admin/moderator of the instance that is sending you the email (meaning where you have your account). So, unless you have multiple accounts the email source should be mastodon.social, no?

@mastohost Ok thanks for explaining! I didn't know about the option to turn off email notifications. And I do have multiple accounts, but I consider this one my "main". 😎
