       @garfiald Well it's not the culture I grew up in. So I remember making friends with some brain genius well-admired rich white folks in college, and thinking huh, these folks have it figured out I guess.A few years later, um, no they did not.

       @garfiald no grad school, but this is one of the reasons I do festivals.  Even if we don't entirely escape normal society, it mostly doesn't matter how much money you have, and a truly random assortment of diverse people is awesome.It's almost like a party game: "you've got a plumber, a web designer, a waitress, and a warehouse guy: figure out how to repair this stage and run power to the sound booth!"
