No, I don’t want any nazi symbols or flags on my instance and I should tell you why.My granddad has fought in the war against the Germans too free our country. He has told me some thing from that time and trust me it was BAD. I’m all for the whole remember thing because something like that simply can not happen again, ever. But it’s a whole different story when your waving the nazi flag, I don’t want that. If you have troubles with that I can simple say, you know where the logout button is.

I get that it's disrespectful in your eyes, but doesn't your bio literally say your instance is a bastion of free speech and that the correct action is to individually block/mute what you don't like? What you are suggesting goes against that. Again, it's your instance and you can choose what you want to do. But there is a reason other non-Gab instances that promote free speech, so often attack and shitpost on Gab and her instances.

@admin ah, not in the US? I get it though. I think there should be a mix of true free speech and moderated instances. There's nothing wrong with moderated instances, as long as the rules are pretty straightforward and laid out up front. If Gab were smart, they'd tone their mothership instance down to promote usage by big names (Congress, President, etc) and have some other instances that promote totally free speech.

In a perfect world, to get the president onto the platform, Gab would have two instances. A truly free speech instance (which there are reports that Gab has some instance wide blocks implemented) and a moderated instance. I understand using groups to moderate... but the president would never join Gab under that setup. His server itself would have to be free of most controversy. Now, Gab can't just roll back into that. But maybe they could make an instance for political figures or something. I don't know the solution to get the President on, nor am I really looking for one. I've got my own instance that will promote 100% free speech. There's really not much I have to worry about on my side.
