       @hyphen many animals are not physically capable of altering their diets to the degree that human animals can while maintaining and even improving our overall health. For example, a snake’s body isn’t built to digest anything but recently-killed smaller animals. It couldn’t digest and absorb the nutrients we can from plant matter. Most animals have evolved to eat only what is available within their ecosystem and that thing not being available would kill the species.

       @HellBuns understandable. But then as you called it, "alteration" implies a previous default state. Calling it weird is in a way denying that it's the default.Don't get me wrong; I recognize that a) this is just a phrase shirt, and b) logistics speaking it makes sense for mankind as a species to drop reliance on animals as a source of nutrition. I just find it ironic when some people pretend eating animals is unnatural or unethical.
