       @tom Depends. If you simply link the fonts on goggles servers in your webpage, you expose your readers to google. If you download and redistribute them on your own server, it still wastes bandwidth for the font file... IMO the best way is to just use the browsers default fonts by specifying the font-families serif, sans-serif or monospace.

       @tom I agree... but is there a widespread good-looking default monospace font on windows? You could still specify a priority list: font-family: "Lucida Sans Typewriter", "Lucida Console", monospace;

       @anathem actually, it might be better to allow the user to decide which monospace font to use in their browser settings...
