The question isn't whether we live in a simulated universe, the question is how many layers of simulations are above ours.

@fribbledom Heh, somedays I think the hardware running my piece of the simulation is on the fritz. 😉

@fribbledom There's -1 simulations, that's my prediction.

@fribbledom I don't think that's a very good question...1. it's hard to find the answer2. it's hard to verify a supposedly correct answer3. even if you get the correct answer, what are you gonna do with it? it's useless

@fribbledom Two, we're in the bizarro spinoff universe constructed as a critique of the universe above it. Our universe features more developed down to Earth characters, but also more muddled story lines and a larger world that isn't really built upon. The upside of this is that the stories that do take place are more intimate and personal, but at the cost of grander scale and universal tales that feel true regardless of time.

@fribbledom - You know how I know we're not in the matrix?- The food would be better.On a philosophical note:Is it still a simulation if everything in the simulation has the exact same properties of reality or is it a new reality.

@fribbledom Unlimited. Because it's a circular simulation stack.

@fribbledom The question is are we just a Counterstrike simulator, so any effort at peace will get us shut off, or are the implementors absentee and may shut us off at any time regardless?
