Sigh. #Chrome has reintroduced motherfucking pull-to-refresh and lost the fucking disable pref.Because I ALWAYS want to fully reload a page when scrolling up to check something when composing a post.... </s>

@sid I use FF on *ALL* systems except Android (and am trying desperately hard to use it there). On Android, the performance penalty is simply ridiculous.Chrome sucks, blows, heaves, and shits, simultaneously, in technicolour.

@sid I'm also well beyond caring to fix Chrome or report bugs. But I think they'd actually nuked the PTR feature, which has HORRIBLE UI interactions.I invariably invoke it as I'm trying to drag a textarea dialogue larger so I can write into it (the grabber region there is nanoscopic), trigger a refresh, and lose whatever I was writing.Maddening does not even start to describe.

@dredmorbius @sid interesting. Is any of the following true for you?- Underpowered smartphone.- 70+ tabs open.I use Firefox on my phone daily with zero performance problems. Arguably it's even better than Chrome, because in Firefox I could install uBlock Origin, so it's this much less garbage to render on every site I visit.

@temporal ~2015 Samsung Tab A (Android v5). Firefox with ~25 tabs is slow to open others. Haven't tried a fresh boot / clean session.@sid

@dredmorbius @sid that's unfortunately quite old in terms of Android; I suppose Chrome might be optimized better for older devices. There's this weird thing I discovered about Firefox on Android - past a certain number of open tabs, opening new ones gets slower and slower until you can't open a new tab anymore. On my Galaxy S7, this starts to happen around ~70 tabs, and I don' t think I could ever reach > 100 tabs open. So now I just try to keep the number of open tabs below 70, and things work snappy.
