Which database software would you recommend? I feel complete aversion for SQL, that's as much as I know about databases.

@espectalll It would help to know what the nature of the data is. SQL is great for data which is changed relatively infrequently, such as customer records, invoices, payment records, etc. As a first-order over-generalization, NoSQL type databases are great when data cannot be centralized without a huge performance hit. Time-series databases are optimized for data recorded at periodic intervals. Etc.

@espectalll In my experience, apps tend to use multiple kinds of databases, sometimes even as caches for the other kinds, depending on what's being performed and/or when. :)

@espectalll idk, what else is there? i only know about postgresql and couchdb to be sweet in some regards 🤷
