       good news everyone: syncplay.pl works really well and it's really awesome. i highly recommend itdon't try to fuck with streaming and shit, just both download the same file and it works really good. it's actually really refreshing to be able to watch in HD and properly synchronized too

       @cosine syncplay is great if your friends are technical enough to want to set it up, but with most of them I got half way through and they were like "i have to DOWNLOAD something????? lets just use rabbit"

       @cosine idk I'm super jaded about people actually being willing to use computers properly at this pointThere's this one guy at work who keeps asking me to tell him what his passwords are (which I keep telling him we don't keep track of), and whenever I tell him to go read the guide I wrote on whatever subject he always says "I'm a busy guy, can't you just do it for me?"Trying to convince people to switch to ethical / better alternatives to garbageware is just so far out of my patience level at this point.

       @wizard yeesh there's a difference between "can't they make this interface usable" and "can't you personally do this for me". dude sounds like an assholetotally true. i gave that game up a long time ago but i will recommend software when it seems genuinely helpful ethics aside, which might be the case with rabbit shutting down here
