@strangecorn @jeremiah @Johncdvorak I don't like anything that encourages thinking about applying violence -- even the state's monopoly on law-abiding violence.Change the electric chair imagery to locked up in chains or in a mini jail cell, and I'm fine with the parade float. Change Kathy Griffin's powerful statement to ... I dunno, anything that doesn't suggest violence against President Trump, and I'm okay with it.

@progo @strangecorn @Johncdvorak Unfortunately, violence is a part of the human experience and "all politics is local." Violent metaphors pepper politics as they do sports.If you look at it as a statement of violence, it could be that. If you see it as a Tom and Jerry, it could be that. I see Tom and Jerry.
