https://alexdanco.com/2019/05/30/google-chrome-the-perfect-antitrust-villain/Personally, not sure if this far fetched, but I'd like to see the us government develop the a web engine. Not even a browser, just get over the technological hurdle of making an engine so more than 3 organizations can compete. The web has become a vital piece of infrastructure to society just like roads, which have many companies to choose from, thanks to interstates (a hurdle) connecting city and private roads together.

@mooshoe The last outfit capable of producing anything that could compete with google would be the US government.

@mooshoe I just don't have much faith in government. Seems they screw up just about everything they touch.

@DistroJunkie Probably for the best I guess.Although healthcare I think is a lot more complex than developing some technology

@mooshoe @DistroJunkie they definitely screwed up healthcare. I'm not talking about the ACA. It goes deep with that industry, all the way back to the regulation of the medical education industry, limiting where you can even get an M.D. down to just a few schools. And that was done as a personal favor to a man who didn't even have knowledge of medicine. Then you have the regulations against competition in the medicine production industry. They have tainted everything in these industries.
