@Debradelai @ConnieB If the article is false, provide the evidence. I’m reasonable and I’m willing to listen.If the article is true, that doesn’t make me a “bigot”. As Connie correctly stated, I’m simply a fervent dog lover who believes dogs should be allowed anywhere as long as city or town ordinances are being obeyed. So, is this how this site works? Say something that offends an Admin and get threatened with a ban? If so, do it now so I don’t waste any more time.

@ConnieB I did website management for a pet rescue for a few years. They had a link to this in one of their newsletters recently. It seems like a fairly factual and respectful treatment. They also had a printout of an article and whitepaper from the Humane Society on the topic that was informative and also respectful. A couple really did not like dogs at all.It is a cultural thing, much like some Europeans still being freaked out by black cats. Many own dogs, but there are restrictions. about having them out and about.I met a Bedu Saudi who sweared up an down that dogs were filthy, but his Salukis were not dogs but Salukis (whatevs). His dogs were lovely, loved.

@redwhitebluedude @ConnieB @Debradelai @GenesRayBurn There is a growing segment in many Islamic nations to allow people to have dogs as pets, as well as many animal rights movements. A lot of the Saudi students we get have a fascination with dogs...and love to look at the livestock at the county fair.Most of them are from cities -- they aren't used to animals because they live in the city.

I didn't think of it as anti Muslim, anymore than I think of a compilation showing snowflakes screaming is anti anyone. I took it as a newly arrived insisting that their new home change to accommodate them. On the one non-negotiable....our DOGS.
