i think if we dont allow for the rehabilitation of ex-fash, disenchanted channers, and the like, we’re responsible in some way for the re-radicalization of doubters/defectors from that area of the internet. its also incredibly disingenuous because yall are fine with me and plenty of other ppl on fedi who used to be absolute shitters. why was i allowed the chance to reinvent myself as a leftist but other ppl arent?

@girl as an ex-*channer i really feel this..as a teenager i was depressed af and had a lot of internalized misogyny and fear of my masc side and just spiraled into a reqlly hateful person..i know there are some people who get truly radicalized and never get out but i know a lot of these kids can get better if they try..today i try to spread as much love as possible, partly as a small way to make up from all the hate i let ferment inside me and that's still out there destroying people..
