The support person I'm writing emails with regarding a question about a device's specification just doesn't understand my question :( I don't want to be a jerk or say something that gets the support person in trouble with their boss. Guess I'm going to try to speak to support from another country, maybe that will work.

@hcs If I get it right, it's actually the head of German customer support. But the question is very technical for what I imagine a rather non-technical customer base.
