       @unitedtv imagine a nonprofit charged with an important percentage of the world's internet experience (including tor browser) changing its priorities so drastically that it cedes its moral and technical mission to the personal agenda of some of its employees.absolutely normal ime.

       @awg Nonprofits are either useless at their most benign, or harmful to other countries (or even yours) at their worst.  Remember the Clinton Foundation?  Do you know that Planned Parenthood puts their spare money into the Democrat campaign?

       @unitedtv most nonprofits are quite small and stretched thin on money and manpower.  but they still commonly become the creative outlet for people who aren't content with straightforwardly doing what the organisation exists to do; it's almost like the people operating the organisation grow bored by its mission, and directors and other overseers are also too bored to keep those operating the organisation in check--before long the movement of the organisation becomes quite disconnected from its actual purpose, and the organisation's nonprofit status becomes catalyst for a kind of narcissism where the organisation believes it deserves to exist because its on some moral highground rather than understanding properly that the organisation shouldn't exist at all if it isn't executing on its mission.  it's so very strange how this seems to happen almost every time.

       @SolanumGF mozilla made it mandatory to cert sign every add-on for the browser, then proceeds to fuck things up and cause all add-ons for firefox users (including tbb) to be suddenly disabled.

       @awgFunny that I was motivated to test out some other browsers recently. Unfortunately I am stuck with the minimum of Firefox I for work. They tried to convince me to install chrome to make some things easier.
