@karen simple for me means learning curve is abrupt but very short, and then behaviour is easily understood (and therefore can be anticipated). this is not an easy goal to reach, and requires a quite complete understanding of a problem so not to starve it of necessary functionality while also knowing exactly what not to include. most projects billed as "simple" are just incomplete/half-baked ideas tbh.

@karen if you're getting hands proverbially dirty with the internals just because someone can't summarise their understanding of a problem with a tidy abstraction, then I think that's definitely a fail.
