@karolat@miniwa.moe @FloatingGhost@ihatebeinga.live @NekoiNemo@miniwa.moe @fence@miniwa.moe Actually, it's more than just a few metatags in the header of your HTML. There is a lot of factors that affect your pagerank including the last time you updated your site, the orthography of your texts, the redaction of your texts, how many keywords you have in your texts, how you use your images in your site, the structure of your site, if it is readable by the spyder or not (semantics), and a long etc.

@karolat @NekoiNemo @fence @enigmatico in the *VAST* majority of cases those aren't particularly relevant, don't go scaring people that have never even made a website before with the nitty-gritty that might matter if you're competing against lots of very similar sitesFor a beginner, meta tags are the place to start.

@FloatingGhost@ihatebeinga.live @karolat@miniwa.moe @NekoiNemo@miniwa.moe @fence@miniwa.moe Your clients will always ask you to go the highest possible and you know it is impossible to position high enough with metatags alone. You either compete with the big ones or you are out of the competition.
