       @gazelle that was a joke.  Irl it's when you take a drug that hasn't been turned into its water soluable form. Like the difference between drinking or injecting a drug in liquid form vs smoking cocaine in its crack form (<freebase)

       @Red honestly I'm not really good at knowing when someone is joking in response to something I say or ask so it's best to err on the side of not using those types of jokes unless it seems like I'm totally looped in on the fact that there are jokes happening.        @gazelle it’s a more science-y word for crack. Cocaine powder is actually a salt (-hydrochloride) and cooking it into crack makes a “free base” (minus the acid component) which means it can be absorbed much easier through the lungs.
