As societies grow decadent, the language grows decadent, too. Words are used to disguise, not to illuminate, action: you liberate a city by destroying it. Words are to confuse, so that at election time people will solemnly vote against their own interests.

@dcvoter This is interesting, but elections are, at most, 30% of the popular pressure for social change. The rest happens in the streets, in unions, in small activist groups.

@johnbessa @dcvoter The thing is that Bernie Sanders won't do much if there isn't a lot of crowd marching in the streets and putting pressure on the bourgeoisie.
