An interesting thing to consider:The website Prism-Break.org exists to help shield people from government surveillance by recommending only free and open source software.Of the many #Linux distros, they ONLY recommend #Fedora and #Debian as being completely free software, easy to use, and widely supported.#Arch, #Ubuntu, and other distros are not recommended for various reasons

@matt the reasons it doesn’t recommend Ubuntu are garbage. I can’t take that site seriously

@matt Fedora has proprietary Wi-Fi drivers. So it's not completely free, though there is an unnoficial repository containing Linux-libre that makes it so

@northivanastan I'm not very concerned about wifi drivers and microcode. I always enable the non-free repos in Debian for those. It sucks but it's next to impossible to find quality wifi adapters that are truly free. All the free ones are kinda garbage.CPU microcode is also not something you are going to find that is truly free, unless you do not use ARM/AMD/Intel.
