The Yemenis have had to fight them multiple times since 1994.In 2009, the Houthis attacked Saudi Arabia to expand their current war.So the Saudis and the Yemenis came up with a brilliant plan.

When the Houthis rose up again in 2015, half the Yemeni army joined them.The Saudis and their allies landed thousands of armored vehicles in Aden, which broke out on august 5, 2015.At the same time, a ground force of as many as 150,000 men entered Yemen from Saudi Arabia, at the al-Wadiah Crossing.The two forces raced to the city of Marib, in the center of eastern Yemen.

From September of 2015 until December of 2017, nothing much happened on the ground.Then the Yemeni army broke from the Houthis, raced back to Aden in Southern Yemen, and were armed with state-of-the-art weapons.They went out to fight, and have been winning for the past year.It was a massive deception operation.

The Yemeni army knows EVERYTHING about the Houthis.Before this operation could take place, Yemeni commanders had to be rescued by Saudi and Emirati special forces.The most dramatic was the rescue of Brigadier General Tareq Abdullah Saleh.He was scooped up on December 4, 2017, in the middle of a giant ambush.

@ThomasWic I would not have known about any of this had you not done such brilliant analysis at the time it was occurring.......this is incredible to understand that our Congress did this on the premise that MbS killed Jamal Khashoggi which makes no sense to me at all.......The Prince has some/or the most elite Special Forces in the world.....what did he gain from executing Khashoggi???
