@switchingsocial @inventaire @libreture As a writer who's planning on releasing his book under Creative Commons, these posts are a goldmine. We definitely need to move away from Amazon and the like as much as we can. Thanks!

@switchingsocial Every time I see these I get excited. However, what I really want is a decentralized Goodreads where we can rate and recommend for each other. Any on the list, like that?

@sikkdays @switchingsocial Sounds like something @emacsen 's coming ReviewPub might potentially be useful for, perhaps?

@clacke @sikkdays @switchingsocial Perhaps. ReviewPub is basically going to be a toy to experiment with different ActivityPub ideas. It'll also be about a month until I have something functional. The first version (released this week) will be just a skeleton.

@switchingsocial @clacke @sikkdays @inventaire One of the questions I've been having is about links to products. Eg a link to Wikidata vs a link to a link to Open Product Data vs a link to an affiliate-link to Amazon. All of them are useful, and by linking to them all we create associations that are potentially useful. This is the kind of topic we'll explore on @librelounge
