Didn't know arch has lts-kernel aswell. Any experience with it? Pros and cons? Assuming it's more stable but you will not get the latest kernel features.

@tzycce It's not stable. They push every possible incremental update like they always do with their excessive compulsive love for updates.I haven't had any noticeable issues with either version after all the years using both of them.

@hund@tzycceI tried all the kernels when I first started with Arch.my conclusion was that unless you have compelling need to use an alternate kernel eg: awkward hardward or specific use-case, the most consistent kernel to use is the default arch kernel.

@jason@hundSo it seems after looking the forums. Lts kernel can be useful in some situations with virtualisation and hardened if you run a server. I guess I stick with the normal one.

@tzycce I actually had a problem with the LTS kernel that using the mainline one would prevent. The mainline kernel is the officially supported one, so sometimes they will update modules but they wont be available for the LTS kernel, if you are using them it will be quite a pita.Like nvidia for example.
