@rin I tried it with Mastodon by implementing their webfinger stuff, but it didn't recognize it either. And as I don't run any Mastodon instance I can't take a look at any logs.Though I haven't tried it with Misskey yet, I will do that now.Currently testing with the actor https://cuddlesarethebest.cf/actors/alyssatest

@foxhkron @sjw @rin looks like a pleroma bug to me, it tries to put user object through Transmogrifier.contain_origin (lib/pleroma/web/activity_pub/activity_pub.ex), but contain_origin will always error on user objects because they don't have an actor property, so pleroma will always try OStatus fetching and only then refetching by AP. I am not sure if it is intended and I don't have access to irc since scaleway is down lol (also why I am on Mastodon) so I will just tag @lain and @kaniini sowwy.

I will open an issue because I am a dum dum who is not sure if it needs to be solved by adding object id as an actor in case the object type is Person or by having a special handler in contain_origin for Create activities with Person objects
