       @TheGibson Do you at least get some upside/commission on deals closing? In all the time I've spent helping sales engineers, I've never been on commission.

       @PhoneBoy I do not.I get a good bonus at end of the year... We are an ESOP, so we profit share toward that.It's fair, but frustrating when you personally land a really big deal and the sales manager gets all the commission.Sometimes that just how it be.

       @TheGibson Every place does it different. Regardless, the upside is much higher for the sales person versus the engineer.And, no, it doesn't bother me. I prefer a more steady income.

       @PhoneBoy Same.I have sold a metric shit-ton of CBDefense in the past year... It's basically my horse I'm riding now.I wish I got a cut of that. had some big ones in there. :)
