       @kevDid you let @AndrzejL prepare your food if drink?....I have a 3.5 yr old android phone, with most google  apps disabled, for a while before this phone I had a iPhone4s,  which was without doubt the worst phone I have ever had.So while I want to get rid of android,  there is no affordable,  suitable alternative at this time (in the uk).Yes there are niche firmwares based on android,  but that does not solve the Issue.The future looks better with the likes of the various linux based phones, but unless a uk retailer gets in on that action, its always gonna be a fringe option.These days I pretty much only use google play as my source for films, seeing as I gave up shivering me timbers about 3yrs agoI think that you are right to give Apple a try and hope it works for you.
