Should i be worried that my neighbor told me “I’ve had some morphine and half a bottle of Jim Beam, the pain’s been real bad, but I love you and your family and I’d never hurt you or them”? I don’t think so but sometimes…(I think he left a half-eaten pecan in our shed)

@Mephistopheles Ah, he’s not a degenerate. He’s just a regular guy who was hit on the head by an oil-drilling bit and lives in the house where he was born and where his mother hanged herself. A real sweetheart, truly, but has some dark moments. And a fuck-ton of chronic pain.

@Mephistopheles Oh, don’t worry, I guess it’s when it’s out of context that it gets worrisome. I have to remember I know him and he’s gentle. He’s mostly okay but I think he saves his meds for when it’s really bad so it gets worse than it has to.
