Does anyone know why my iMac won’t connect to the internet but everything else on the network it’s connected to works fine?

@stunt_bird Maybe your gateway/router IP isn't defined, or defined incorrectly?

@veryonlinedad wouldn’t that cause issues for everything on the network?

@stunt_bird I meant on the iMac itself. I don't know why that would happen since it should be picked up by dhcp but that's the only thing I can think of, if you're sure the iMac is talking to the network, at least.

@stunt_bird this happens all the time, but with a mac it’s so much more annoying to troubleshoot remotelydo you use any vpn or anything?

@stunt_bird uninstall it and remove any startup items or helpers it might’ve added, and see if it still can’t connect after a restart

@copiedcopies figured it out, I had the killswitch on the VPN so anytime it’s not on my internet access doesn’t work. Thanks for your help!
