       @kondziu i don't think the problem is photography skill. you can take pictures however you like. i think you're trying to take good pictures that are beyond the capabilities of your camera ;)

       @kondziu you can try playing with exposure, film speed, f/stop, shutter speed, white balance, etc on your phone. beyond that, clean your lense, or get a camera with more megapixels that's capable of being set up to shoot scenes in the dark (slow shutter speed, or using "bulb" mode to keep the shutter open for as long you hold the release, preferably with a tripod of some kind).

       @kondziu inexpensive ones that have a good range of manual settings aren't too hard to find on eBay. some point and shoot cameras do this well enough, but you could probably also find yourself an older DSLR body if you can afford to invest in lenses (or find a really good deal with a bunch included, which isn't all that rare).
