       @bb010g the message rewrite facility is pleroma's filtering and message transform engine, it's a stackable policy engine that applies a configured set of transforms to every message.  it can do anything from blocking to replacing the text of every message with "AAAAAAAAAAAA."  there is a policy module which contains some prebaked recipes that do various things, like removing messages from public timelines, or rejecting them outright, or enforcing an acceptlist.
