@uranther The MAKERphone looks like the smartest dumb phone at the moment: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/albertgajsak/makerphone-an-educational-diy-mobile-phone

@paul Wow they're bringing it back! This looks good, with a FM radio and a month of battery standby. I wonder if it maintains its iconic brick-like durability?

@grainloom it looks more like a #hackerspace project than a phone I would want to use daily. I like that it's based on a Pi0 and other off-the-shelf parts. 👨‍💻💭

@uranther - I went for a Nokia 130 a few years, to replace a 1600 that had served me for years. The 130 is nowhere near as good as the former: less features overall, the added features they I hadn’t on the previous are shit, and although it survives various falls, it dismantles every times and feels way more breakable.A 130 isn’t a revival of a 3310 though, so it may not be that bad, but I must say that I would be rather cautious.@paul
