community gardens are GREAT places to radicalize people because basically everyone who works there is already well on their way to thinking "hey this is bullshit, why do we do jobs to get money to buy food when we can just make the food ourselves"

I was talking to the head groundskeeper about this for a while today and I've already decided I'm going to make it a personal mission to try and get him to read The Conquest of Bread

Honestly, random everyday working class people aren't given nearly enough credit. They may not have been exposed to the theory of it, but as long as they haven't lived some sorta super privileged 9.9% life, the vast majority of people are smart enough to realize their current situation kinda sucks and can put two and two together about it.

You know what's a thing I've found is almost universally true? Unless they're just utter shitheels, people almost always tend to agree with leftist policies as long as they're not phrased in explicitly leftist terms. Sometimes people are afraid of words like "socialism" and react accordingly, but when you take just the bare statement of "people who have more should support people who have less", it becomes a lot harder to act like that's not reasonable, and dare say might even be A Good Idea
