       I'm really not sure where i picked up the habit of saying aiyo as a general negative exclamation but i say it fuckin constantly I've never heard anyone else even say it out loud...

       @Miredly is it? i may have somehow unconsciously picked it up from some Chinese source then? i could see that happening, i end up watching a lot or videos set in China or about China at times

       @pea That'd probably do it. "Aiya" is more common IME, but I started saying "Aiyo" a lot after living there for a couple of years
