I just spent my entire Sunday migrating my i3 config to sway 1.0 beta and playing with wayland. And omg its so pretty and smooth and comfy.

@eggy I'm also an i3 user. What benefits have you gotten by switching?

@slphilxyz honestly, it's alot of small things that are hard to describe. For example, I can bind caps to escape without dealing with the clusterf that is xorg. It's much smoother experience too and I get all the benifits of wayland.https://drewdevault.com/2018/10/20/Sway-1.0-highlights.html

@crushv @slphilxyz It's your lucky day:https://drewdevault.com/2018/10/20/Sway-1.0-highlights.html#fnref:21fe4e989ec841ad: fractional scaling!!! Sway now has the best HiDPI support on Linux, period

@eggy @slphilxyz you'd think that but xwayland + wayland fractional scaling causes X apps (like firefox) to show up blurry :/
