If I'm going to San Diego basically specifically to go to the zoo, should I get the two-day pass, I'll be there five days and it would save like $20

@Pixley what are you doing at the zoo? I got through it easily in a few hours so unless you’re doing a project or something I’m not sure you need to spend more than 1 Day there

@Mosie I want to see PANDAS so I'm also kind of thinking about doing the one-day pass but also spending a ridiculous amount of money to do "early morning with pandas"

@Pixley ok so the panda exhibit it majorly anticlimactic as a simple walk through so if that’s your main focus deffo do the morning thing so you get extra time with them. It’s their main attraction and you walk through a super long primate (or bear? I honestly can’t remember) exhibit to get to them, then you’re in a line w potentially hundreds of other ppl, mostly sweaty parents. I went during a down time which is the only reason it wasn’t totally bad

@Pixley also I think they’ve acquired more since then but when I visited they had only 1 panda and he was asleep the entire time. China didn’t want to give them more and their female had started fighting with the male so they sent her back to China 😭😂

@Mosie I went for New Years and they had the usual one and her newborn! @Pixley the other animal you walk through is a red panda which is the cutest thing in existence. I agree that spending one whole day was doable for me (able-bodied childless 24 year old) and that was enough, though if you want a more chill time just get the two-day pass. Whew, that was a long one, sorry.
