Not sure what's happening here hat 37Hz but it's driving me kinda crazy.

@jemus42 wait, is the y axis of that lower graph really dB? looks to me like it's time

@T045T the lower part is supposed to show that the 37Hz noise has been constant over time m)

@gaeel @T045T it's a waterfall graph, at least I think that's what it's called. Flows from top to bottom, x axis is frequency, color is dB

@jemus42 @T045T It's called a spectrogram, some musicians, like Aphex Twin and Venetian Snares have hidden pictures in their tracks to be found in this viewBy far the best way to visually represent audio if you're interested in the timbre and frequency content

@gaeel @jemus42 yeah, they're fun :) we had one assignment on speech recognition where we were supposed to figure out the words that were said from a spectrogram

@T045T @jemus42 And entirely incidentally, I'm watching the things queued up in my Youtube subscriptions and stumbled on this, here's a fun rendering of a spectrogram by Daito Manabe; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ltBQz7Vpwmk

@gaeel @jemus42 aah, this makes me want to spend another weekend hacking on Quil and Overtone soon
