@kew hahaha oddly this is the ONE movie I have seen, my wife and I decided we could probably keep up with each year’s best picture noms and got through... that one movie. Really liked it!

@stunt_bird There were actually a couple good ones out recent, but that's probably the one that'll have the most impact. I loved First Reformed, Death of Stalin was fun, Won't You Be My Neighbor reduced my entire theater to tears.2017 had Get Out and Shape of Water, those both owned. 2016 had Popstar, but if you want to see the record for "that aged so poorly," Zootopia.

@stunt_bird I'm not exactly a movie expert but I've got more suggestions, though I ran out of tootspace. If you've got like genre specific stuff you want I can see what I can think of, though if you ask for horror uh wrong guy.

@_ampersand nah not into horror. We just don’t have cable so I don’t even know about movies unless they were good enough or bad enough to be mentioned on twitter

@stunt_bird Fair. I've got a bud who's gotten super into movies in the last couple years so he's taken me to a bunch. Going back a bit further:2015: Ex Machina, Fury Road (<- this one owns)2014: John Wick I guess?

@stunt_bird Also fuck me I forgot: 2014, Grand Budapest Hotel.Fury Road is so fucking good and probably going to be the most influential movie of the last several years. STBY deserves similar acclaim but it makes white people uncomfortable so they'll fight it.
