@Cat Although I fully approve this manifesto I fear that we will live in a world where nothing will be repairable if you see what apple already does with it's new MacBooks and still everybody is buying this stuff because they don't care.

@Cat That's very nice except for the "if you can't fix it, you don't own it" line.I know it's referring to items that are deliberated created so as to be impossible for the user to fix, but it can also read as saying you only own things if you personally have the skills to fix them which would exclude a lot of people who can't repair a thing for other reasons like disability.

@Cat IFIXIT actually do reviews of phones, ranking how easy they are to service. It's pretty cool.

@Cat As much as I love this rhetoric, itâs ultimately an iFixit advertisement promoting consumer culture as praxis.

@slightlyflightyone @Cat so why not just visit your local repair-café, to learn new tricks and share your own knowledge there? Because, alone, nobody is master of all crafts, but together we will master everything:https://repaircafe.org/en/visit

@BlauerKlabauter @Cat The âmanifestoâ itself is an advertisement for a company. Youâre 100% missing the point of my statement.
