we should start a Mastodon instance without the whole favourite, boost or notifications parts. only tooting and seeing others' toots (without any of the previously mentioned information).this would take away some part of the dopamine rush effect.

@neauoire you spent time to write 11 characters instead of clicking on a button. now I can feel some extra dopamine haha.

edit: maybe a browser add-on would solve this issue, but having an instance specifically for this sounds better for me.

@kodedninja I would like that too. Actually, in a P2P heaven, the only stat I would like to see is how many users you mirror.

@neauoire it was. many users were also contributors so it truly was a space not just filled, but shaped by its users.it's hard to achieve this in today's internet.

@kodedninja I'm kind of waiting for the tech to change a little bit to revisit the idea. I'm also trying to learn how to code in the meantime.

@neauoire Beaker's moving in a good direction to make this possible.learning to code? if all the things you've made are just "hello world" programs, we should be afraid haha

@kodedninja Well, I feel like I'm finally understand what some of the PRs were trying to implement. Like, I knew enough to know that I wasn't up to the task, but recently, every few days, I have this feeling of "Oh shit, I could totally use this new way of doing things for a project like Rotonde".

@kodedninja I really really really like hypercore, I've started to implement some P2P easter eggs to Paradise as practice.

@neauoire as I mostly try to focus on Beaker's API, sometimes I miss to have a few features from hypercore.it's like leaving earth and traveling in the solar system.

@neauoire you return to older projects in cycles, as I've observed it.
