       Enterprise = Starfleet's flagship. It's arguably the best post to have. DS9 is a literal  mess when SIkso arrives and he doesn't even want to be there at first, for both personal/professional reasons. Cardassian technology and architecture are embedded into it - creating technical difficulties as well as being a visual reminder looming over everybody. I think it's a pretty good b/g metaphor for how deep-rooted the effects of colonialism are.(cont.)#startrek #ds9
