SO, the Junkyard Bar switched from a Google-managed email system to a Microsoft (Outlook) managed email system. Both suck, but at least Google provided a good email product. Everyone is now using Outlook...Outlook, by default (and you can't change this without funny stuff) hides the outgoing email address in To: when the address has a name attached to it. So instead of "To: Marc_Marc<mmarc@someemaaddr.com>" you get "To: Marc_Marc" Well, one of our customers got hacked. We get an email from this "customer," and our person replies with financial advice so customer can pay us. Turns out the reply-to address was the hacker, and since Outlook hides the address, our person thinks nothing of this. Hacker gets our email with payment advice, strips our account information and re-sends with theirs. Customer pays an invoice using hacker's account, 5 figures goes elsewhere, and we're out the money. All because someone here got a fucking hard-on for Microsoft. Thanks, Outlook.

@cereal Yes indeed. And the boss has a hard-on 10 miles long for them.
