So I made a weighted blanket. 15lbs. Half pound weights. I spaced them out a bit, which works. The weights are each separately enclosed so I could reuse in another base...an old sheet. It might wear out. Added duvet-style angle ribbons. Then I pieced a stop with Halloween fabric I got last year. I faux-quilted it to a liner muslin. Then I used a faux-quilt pattern full piece of fabric on the bottom and lightly quilted it with batting. Added ribbons. Sewed. Done.

@ruth I'm really looking forward to colder months just so I can finally have more than a thin sheet on me at night. I sleep so much better under the weight of blankets, but not at all if I get too hot.

@annacreech that's one reason I made a weighted blanket -- although this cover is not good for the summer. Last night was very hot, which was not great. But I've always slept best under lots of blankets. i don't spend the whole night under these but I do spend maybe 20 minutes
