       I'm a bit confused as to why so many modern solo violinists record in such a overtly wet acoustic. Especially those who utilize period violins, for some reason. The combination of a rather shrill string sound and high reverberation isn't exactly easy on the ears. Gimmie a dry acoustic anyday, please.
