       @ale This could be a limitation of your terminal emulator. I've had great success with ConEmu (https://conemu.github.io) based terminals on Windows when not using the WSL

       @alemaybe that is just a mingw thing bc it closes things running (in the foreground, that is) if you close the [console] window afaict

       @c0de meh i don't really care all that much it's just a minor inconvenienceI switch a lot between the vs code integrated terminal (git-bash), MINGW, and cmdsometimes MINGW doesn't output lines and it bothers me so i go to cmd

       @ale that's not bash's fault. that's your terminal emulator.

       @ale I've recently taken to using git via a Debian prompt direct via WSL because I was a bit annoyed at how MINGW was behaving. It works great for my uses! The only thing that really took getting used to was that you have to right click to copy/paste

       @c0de WSL is really neat tho I can't really afford installing it since my tablet-laptop only has 64GB of internal storage, and WSL linux distros need to be installed internallyalso Windows can't install universal apps on the SD card since it has bitlocker encryption 🙃

       @ale Look into Arch on WSL, it's like the most minimal type of install. You have full control over every package that gets installed, and depending on setup, you could definitely get that less than 100MBThough it depends on how much time you'd want to invest to have a custom configuration XD

       @c0de @ale the installation for debian and arch under GNU/kWindows is pretty much the same, both pretty barebones, just a matter of which repos you like more
