I’ve read 28 books this year. That’s pretty cool gang. Give it up for me finding time to enjoy myself.

@stunt_bird I think I read about 5 or 6 and that was an extremely good year for me

@stunt_bird I miss reading books so much, to sit down and really dig into it for hours.

@Fanitullen I don’t really get to do that, largely because having kids is TIME CONSUMING! But 20 minutes in the morning, half hour at lunch and an hour at night adds up fast

@stunt_bird That's my reason too. And when I have a minute I'm just too tired. But I'll get back into it again when they're a bit older.

@stunt_bird the best one was probably Homesick For Another World and the worst one was definitely Night Film, what an incredible piece of shit book, never listening to anyone that genre stuff is “actually pretty good” again

@Fanitullen yeah i hear ya, I didn’t read at all for a month when my 4 year old was having sleeping issues. I think I only stick with it because it places me firmly in an adult frame of mind so it’s a better break than TV

@stunt_bird That's a very good view I think, and I just started a book last week, just a few minutes, but I'll keep it up, at least get the habit going again.

@Fanitullen yeah it’s definitely a skill especially with denser fiction, if you don’t keep at it it’s no fun at all when you try to go bakc
