       conservatives always bring up how calm a sexual assault survivor is when they tell their story as a way to undermine and delegitimize it. this is because they think the penis, and sex, are some kind of magic that reduces the value of a woman. sex is only for procreation and should be engaged in reluctantly as it 'dirties' the receptive person.they think rape is bad not because it violates consent but because sexual activity not intended for procreation is some sort of stain.they think dick can magically change a womans value and that this is a trauma she should never get over.as a aside, disassociation and ptsd from trauma often sever the connection between memories and processing the event emotionally. it feels like something that happened to someone else.
