Haha amazon says that if you like Ottessa Moshfegh you might like John Green. I mean maybe but the odds seem poor.

@stunt_bird it’s the other way around actually. John green fans eventually join the “Moshpit”

@evan @girls he and I look very similar and I can’t imagine being able to look myself in the mirror everyday and go “ok you’re gonna write more books about 15 year olds today”

I get mad online about this woman too often but she’s very talented. The last time was when I found out Roxane Gay reviewed her book of short stories and just said “she shouldn’t have mentioned that some of the characters were fat”

@poetryinthewater it was not good, it was just her going on about how the book is fatphobic and stuff

@interneteh yeah that was my reaction also like wait aren’t you all for representation? And you understand this is literature so if we want a fat character we have to explicitly say they’re fat?

@stunt_bird maybe she wasn't a fan of how the character was addressed? I dunno

@interneteh I don’t know if you’ve read the book but all the narrators are fixated on the repulsiveness of themselves or people around them but this is certainly not presented as correct or anything
