@jerky I've seen old school Telnet connections have just a > as a prompt. Though I always have my terminal set to have a flashing block instead of a flashing underscore for the insert point.

@kurisu @jerky Blocks are better, if you have more than one terminal open on the screen. This way you can find at a glance the window, which has the focus.
